Here we explain how to set up your email address in Outlook.
If you haven’t already created an email address, you can do so in How do I create an email address? explained.
Outlook for hosted Exchange
In order for the email address to be set up, it is important that the DNS records of your domain are already set up correctly. To do this, follow the instructions in the article Which DNS records do I need for hosted Exchange? .
If this required you to make changes to DNS records, wait 6 hours before attempting to set up the email address. The same applies to name server changes, although you should wait 24 hours.
After that, the setup is very easy.
Once Outlook has started, you can add the email address via “File – Information – Add account”. Complete the four fields on the first page and click Next.

The e-mail address is then automatically set up.
Outlook for Plesk or Confixx
When setting up your email address from Plesk or Confixx in Outlook, we recommend using the control panel in your Windows.
For this you need the information from your access data sheet.
If you no longer have this, click on the server center at the top of the myhosttech customer center .
This can be downloaded again in the settings of the corresponding hosting.
The information on the access data sheet in the “Mail server settings” section is important.
Depending on whether you created the email address in Plesk or Confixx, you have a different user name. An e-mail address in Confixx is always assigned to a mailbox, and the mailbox is the user name. For example, this is web321p5, where web321 is your normal username for your Confixx login, and p5 stands for the fifth mailbox you created.
With an email address in Plesk, your username is simply the email address.
Now you can follow the following video to set up the email address.
