We do not recommend using umlaut domains for mail traffic. Depending on the mail system, recipients will then receive an email from info@xn--zrich-kva.com instead of info@zürich.com
To install an umlaut domain in your DNS server, proceed as follows:
- Log into your DNS server and select “Tool”.
- Click on “IDN Converter”.
- Enter the umlaut domain in the “Domain” field and then click on “send”
Now you get the domain in the encoded format. Eg for zürich.com you get “xn--zrich-kva.com”.
Now enter this domain in your DNS server. You can then call up the domain as normal with an umlaut via the browser.
