How do I install Nextcloud?

Nextcloud is installed via a so-called “one-click installer”. The installation is done in the Plesk control panel as follows:

Requirement PHP 8.2

  1. Log in to your Plesk account.
  2. Go to “Websites & Domains” in the menu and select the “Dashboard” of the desired domain.
  3. Under “Files and databases” you will find the “Nextcloud” button – click on it.
  1. Select “Install” to start the automatic installation of Nextcloud.
  1. Now select the domain on which Nextcloud is to be installed.
  2. Assign a secure administrator password.
  3. By default, “nextcloud” is entered in the “Directory” field. You can delete this folder name if you want to use Nextcloud directly under the main domain (e.g. www.deinedomain.eu/nextcloud)

After installation, you can log in to Nextcloud.

To use Nextcloud, you need high-performance hosting (e.g. Hosting L or XL or WordPress Hosting Select) or your own server (vServer / dedicated server). Installation on smaller hosting packages is not recommended for performance reasons, as the resources provided are not sufficient for high-performance provision. This is due to the so-called LVE limits(more).
